Retention of South African Citizenship

When voluntarily taking on another Citizenship, South Africans will need to inform the Department of Home Affairs that they wish to retain their SA Citizenship or the Department will assume that they do not wish to.

People who are born Dual Nationals will not have to apply to retain their SA Citizenships.

In order for us to assist we will need the below

Your birth certificate

Copy of SA Passport

Copy of ID

Your Marriage certificate, should your name has changed through Marriage
